Set of posters and slides for a 5-week sermon series at The Vine
The Vine’s vision in 2025 was to move into uncharted territory. In this series, we learn that going “uncharted” is not about our own adventure but about responding to God. Each week’s sermon looks at a different chapter in the book of James, which provides wisdom on how to do that.

This series is about learning new things in the middle of summer for a God-led adventure. I immediately thought of summer camp. The sermon each week focuses on a different skill or lesson, which I chose to represent with a collectible badge and matching stamp, along with corresponding imagery of the great outdoors.
For the slides, I was inspired by the memo books and index cards used for field research. The topographic map of Hong Kong in the background acts as a subtle nod to our city.
The colour palette consists of warm, saturated colours, supported by earthy neutrals such as brown and beige, to evoke memories of adventures at summer camp. Each week features one main colour.
